I live in St. Louis and we had our first confirmed case. Now for the stupid part.
Gal that studied abroad in Italy tested positive last Wednesday after coming back home. Family is self quarantined at home. Or supposed to be. Well, rich daddy decides it's ok for him to take his other daughter to her father-daughter dance. Now the school has shut down until they know more about whether dad and daughter infected others.

Daughter that came home did everything right. Dad did everything wrong.
They've now been told if they don't remain quarantined for the time being, they will be quarantined by force. Not sure if that much is true or just people speculating.

It is ridiculous that people like that would go to a dance or party or other non-essential event.
However, if I have mild symptoms and my company is forcing me to use vacation days or non paid days, zero chance I’m staying home. Just cold, hard reality and I have a feeling a lot of Americans are in that boat.
Luckily, I wouldn’t have an issue staying home, but if I was in the situation of losing pay or paid time off, it ain’t gonna come out of my pocket.
However, if I have mild symptoms and my company is forcing me to use vacation days or non paid days, zero chance I’m staying home. Just cold, hard reality and I have a feeling a lot of Americans are in that boat.

That mentality is another reason I think we need to be testing the mild symptoms as well. Further able to hopefully convince people to stay home.
