I should have used the word isolation. It is self imposed. On college students.

No it doesn't, and overpopulation is a myth. You could fit the entire population on Earth into the state of Texas.
There is no overpopulation.
This is a complex question and your logic of dismissing it is absurd.
There is very much a sliding scale of population and possible quality of life. It’s physically impossible to give the world an American quality of life even with unlimited money. Just not enough space for the supply chains and not enough resources to provide that level of luxury uniformly.

It's all good. I'm agonizing over a trip to Spain that's supposed to occur in May. I understand that's selfish because people are dying from this shite.
Somebody always has it worse. My friend was diagnosed two-weeks ago with lung cancer; mesothelioma of all things. Had her first dose of chemo today. She's flying to MD Anderson in a week and will eventually have to go to Boston. As if being told you have lung cancer isn't bad enough....I can't think of a worse time to get that news than right now and know you have to go through airports and get on planes. IF she is a candidate for surgery, she will lose her left lung.
She's 39.

That's a nice gesture. Pretty cool.

I’m grateful. The rumors here are rampant.

Overpopulation myth needs to go away, we are not overpopulated and never will be.
You can fit all "7 billion" (the real number is around 2-3 billion when you look at the numbers) in Texas and we wouldn't be overpopulated.
Total hoax, anyone who argues that it is real and a threat is really limited in their intelligence. Very sad

I would tell you to shut up, but he’d prob take it as validation that the system was still working to oppress the truth.

Like Vol said, quality of life is a much bigger issue than just saying everyone can fit in Texas.

So we're getting a little more info on that CA case with no clear travel history/links to other cases.
- Arrived to NorthBay VacaValley Hospital ER on 2/15
- Stayed in ICU until 2/19 due to worsening conditions
- Transferred to UC Davis on the 19th
- Dozens but "less than a hundred" hospital staff at the first hospital were potentially exposed
- Vacaville did not request the patient to be tested because she did not meet testing criteria

After learning the patient had been diagnosed Wednesday with the novel coronavirus strain, the hospital launched meticulous tracing of anyone in the Vacaville facility who may have had any contact with that patient, according to Huddleston and state health officials. “Dozens” but “less than a hundred" people were potentially exposed at the hospital, Huddleston said. But he added it’s a moving target because hospital officials keep identifying additional people monitored on camera who may have come near the patient or close to the room where the patient was staying. He also said all providers who directly treated the patient have been notified.
Can you imagine the man hours to trace these connections and contact everyone before they potentially infect someone else?
I’m sure it goes sideways quickly

How concerned would you be about working in a local hospital tomorrow?
