I don’t think it helped in China plus may have killed global economy.

I guess it depends on if you believe the China quarantines really worked.
What’s the alternative? Spread happens so fast that it overwhelms the hospital system and people start dying all over the place? In South Korea they are already almost maxed out on appropriate hospital beds

Trust me, you are wrong. It is completely unrelated to TAF. Those pts went to Queen of the Valley hospital. Read the article.

You’re literally fricking retarded, you don’t have to post here you can just read and take notes. Spouting bullshite you have no idea about doesn’t do a whole lot for anyone though

Meh.
Most recent models I’ve seen ranges between a final case count between 550k and 1.4 million.
A far, far cry from the 1918 pandemic’s 500+ million.

It’s a joke referring to whenever there’s an emergency causing a run on grocery stores, it seems like the main things to sell out first are bread and milk.
Hence the joke of survival food amongst the overreacting being milk sandwiches.

Ah ok. But you could freeze milk and thaw it out a gallon at a time.

So the CDC missed that the pt had potential exposure to TAF? They can't find a source and are calling it community acquired.

I think it probably slowed things down. I never have believed thier reports. I certainly don’t believe the miraculous improvements in thier numbers that we’ve seen since the market tanked. I think they’ve just accepted that a significant number of thier elderly will die and are ready to get people back to work.

As incompetent as they seem right now yeah I'd believe it

I guess its possible but unlikely. Remember that Solano county is home to TAF but also a huge university. Hell most of Solano county is just an extension of the bay. The transmission could be from anywhere.

They are sourcing his contacts now you frick, they have no idea about his contacts as they just tested and found out hours ago.
The person didn’t have to have gone onto Travis AFB, the virus didn’t just randomly fricking appear though, it is brought over by a carrier. The people brought from the area are the most likely carriers of that. How are you not tracking this? Really?

Because I live here and I work at multiple local hospitals. The Asian population in the bay area is huge. The pt could have picked it up from an unknown infected person at a fricking walmart. Don't be obtuse. The only infected people in the country are not at TAF. There are more cases that just haven't been tested. It is not unreasonable to assume this is the first community acquired case in the states.
PS-you are rude and extremely hostile. eat a bag of dicks.

It was literally never that.
The title of the damn thread is "people are collapsing on Wuhan streets" - it's been hyperbolic from jump street.

Thanks for your credentials, quick question, what large college is located in Solano County by the way? There is none. Do you mean Davis, which is not in Solano? Please tell me more about how smart you are though.
By the way I lived in Vacaville for the past several years before moving to Honolulu last June

Japanese woman confirmed as coronavirus case for second time, weeks after initial recovery
quote:
The woman, a resident of Osaka in western Japan, tested positive on Wednesday after developing a sore throat and chest pains, the prefectural government said in a statement, describing her as being in her forties. She first tested positive in late January and was discharged from the hospital after recovering on Feb. 1, according to the statement. The health ministry confirmed the case was the first in Japan where a patient tested positive for coronavirus for a second time after being discharged from hospital, the Nikkei newspaper said.
quote:
“Once you have the infection, it could remain dormant and with minimal symptoms, and then you can get an exacerbation if it finds its way into the lungs,” said Philip Tierno Jr., Professor of Microbiology and Pathology at NYU School of Medicine. He said much remains unknown about the virus. “I’m not certain that this is not bi-phasic, like anthrax,” he said, meaning the disease appears to go away before recurring.
