Amazing what warmer temps can do. We were very lucky wasn't full blown here till temps started rising and that many of the states with the highest numbers are from up north except for Louisiana which was a destination hot spot for Mardi Gras. What will happen this fall?

Are you constantly harping on the "fear of fall" because of the temperature change or because you're concerned about it coinciding with flu season?

I think we'll have fans in stands by mid-Fall.
This whole thing is a total crock of shite at this point. Early on, I understood shutting shite down until we got a handle on what we need to do to prevent hospital overrun. We have flattened that curve and know who is most vulnerable so they can continue to isolate.

He's probably concerned about it because of the route the Spanish flu took. In the Spring, it was barely noticed because it shared a lot of similarities with the seasonal flu. It died out a bit over the summer. Then a mutated version came back in the Fall and that's when shite actually got serious and the millions of deaths started piling up.

But why was there a mutated version moving around the world come the fall in 1918?
Aren't coronaviruses more stable than flu viruses?
Besides, it's more likely that a mutation will make a virus less lethal, not more.

But I don't think we need to be too concerned about it mutating to a more deadly version. Evolutionarily, the less deadly a virus is, the more likely it is to spread. Killing the hosts that you need in order to reproduce is not a great survival strategy.

Nearly twice as many 40-49 year olds in Spain as there are 0-9 year olds?
They're going to need COVID v2.0 in about 30 years or there is not going to much of a workforce base to pay for all of that health care.

The data that Gummibear person used to create those charts, had only categorized the death data by age for about 2/3rds of the deaths. Specifically, the source he uses lists 25,613 deaths at that time, but he only has 17,248 categorized.
In other words, his IFR data should be about 48.5% higher, and puts it at 1.09%.

No confirmed ages for the remainder of those deaths? Test confirmed vs. presumed?
