quote:Exactly.
All for that juicy, succulent government cheese.
This is just one big middle finger to all LA businesses.
He is doing this just for federal dollars.

Edwards is also in a tricky political situation, as a Democratic governor in a very red state. He said that he spoke to VP Pence, and Pence supported extending the date to May 15th. It's one thing for a Republican like Brian Kemp to get sideways with the Trump administration and get called out for opening too early; for a Democrat like Edwards, it's a lot harder.
But I'm going to open my business back up to customers (we've been just doing online business) on May 11th -- just told my employees. I'm getting some of those plastic screens that you see everywhere, so that my employees can have proper social distancing with customers. I just hope I can get enough of my employees to come in to work.

The SO’s dad felt weird today and is like the poster child for underlying conditions. Either way, went to ER with non-Covid symptoms just for normal concerns. He was tested for COVID right out the bat. Results were back 2 hours later. Negative. They’re now running him through the ringer of tests, presumably to rack up a nice bill. Not a problem he’s still sick and on Medicaid so not really a worry for him.
That's good that they tested him for COVID-19 right away. Hospitals need to know from the get-go if their staff needs to take extra precautions (and use a lot of PPE) or not.

Anyone who believes JBE is a dumbass. Plain and simple. They can’t think for themselves and they’re easily manipulated.
On a related note, I automatically think less of anyone wearing a mask in public. I question their ability to do basic tasks like driving a car and assume they’re also terrible parents or will be one day.

Anyone in Louisiana with thoughts on when phase 3 will roll around? I’d like to go to mass again.

If they interpret data like they did today, we are screwed. It was either willful deceit or incompetence. Not sure which one is worse.

That’s pretty shitty
There is nothing wrong with 50+ wearing masks in public
Also plenty of people all ages can have other health conditions like asthma

Wearing a mask for an asthmatic would absolutely suck. I used to have it as a kid.
My comment doesn’t include the elderly. But I won’t argue that I’m not a shitty person.

Man, you sure do love to make yourself look like an idiot.

No one cares until they feel sick. Then what happens...

I don’t mind the mask thing. Asian viruses call for Asian solutions.

I got sick. Didn’t change my mind. If anything it validated a lot of what I already thought.

Is it a solution though? At this point in time?
