The projected numbers are still pretty bad in Florida and the peak moved forward quite a bit. Hope it changes lower soon.

So fricking stupid... just bc this week is supposed to be the “worst” doesn’t mean you need to stop doing anything. It’s the worst in regards to death, which was set into motion two weeks ago.

It may have been the Sunday night change that I am seeing now. Dr Acton referenced the update yesterday and said that she feels the real numbers will be somewhere in between the IHME estimates and the yet to he released Ohio State/Cleveland Clinic models. Those are the models that were predicting the hospital capacity to be exceeded by 2-3 times at one point.
I am firmly in the middle on how this has all played out. We were kept in the dark due to China's secrecy, but then we had other countries such as Italy to look at which looked quite ominous. Basically. our leaders were in the fog of war and didn't have great information. Now are starting to get more data and gain a clearer picture which fortunately does not look as ominous as some of the initial doom and gloom.
Given the uncertainty, I can understand why our leaders, and in my case Gov. Dewine, took unprecedented action. One thing I will give him credit for is that he has been decisive which is a good quality in a leader and he took the advice of his medical experts. Now, the true test will be how he reacts to the updated information and what kind of plan will be implemented to keep the economy, and more importantly people's jobs, on track.
My biggest concern all along has been the exit strategy and it remains to be seen how that plays out. It will have to be a well thought out plan, as we obviously don't want the sacrifices of the past month to be for naught.

Oh I went to the store .. husband texted that our local store had gallon hand sanitizer. He wants to do what he can to protect his two employees, one who is older and one has a wife with health issues. That said, I bought sanitizer, spray bottles to put it in and baby wipes for "cleaning" hands prior to using as I'e read it's not as beneficial when hands are dirty. They're farming so .. their hands are QUITE dirty. People had gloves and masks and absolutely to each his own BUT cross contamination was all around me ... and masks don't help if your nose isn't covered so ...
Also, off duty cop at the door monitoring the one cart/one person rule. That said, I saw couples headed into the store and out of the store so I guess "one person per family" isn't being followed.
Oh and the sanitizer smells like CRAP but husband doesn't care.

My worry all along had been meat packers shutting down after somebody tests positive in their plant and disrupting the meat supply for our country.

Ohio now at 6.9% new cases today. Lowest since the start of this. Things continue to look better and better here.
