This needs to be included in the stats appropriately, otherwise it loses meaning, and creates some degree of fear-mongering in itself IMO. If rolling into the hospital with a 122/81 isn't really that high of a risk that needs to be noted.

Yeh the patients in our system are rolling in as 140/95 and shite like that. No meds being taken etc

I know this sounds morbid, but I have a ton of fun playing around with this data trying to compare it with flu and looking at the admission rates for at-risk patient conditions and sub-populations of patients by demographic.

About 5’9”, don’t smoke, no respiratory issues or diabetes. I do also take a low dose statin for cholesterol. Both my parents and all 4 of my grandparents (when still alive) were on BP and cholesterol meds and none overweight ... I could probably stand to drop 5-10 lbs but I usually fluctuate between 175 and 180

You're not in the sweet spot for this one, I'm sure you'll be fine.
I've floated the idea of putting together a website where people enter their height, weight, and check off some pre-supplied options for potential health issues like COPD, smoker/non, diabetes, etc.
Then it gives you a % chance of being hospitalized if you get COVID19 and a % chance of death.
My boss didn't find it useful

Pretty big news here
We have lifted all risk qualifiers for getting tested. If you go into an Ochsner clinic with any symptoms (fever, cough, etc) you can get a test now! No longer need to meet the risk qualifiers or have a doctors request

Update in greenville, sc where the caseload is manageable.
They are furloughing nurses and others because the hospitals aren’t busy enough since nobody is going in except COVID patients. Also cutting hours on doctors and PAs.
In other news my wife was tested Monday, results came back Friday that they basically screwed up a large batch of tests and needed her to re-swab. Still sitting here today with no test results a full 11 days after first symptoms. Luckily she was over it over last weekend and got back to strength Thursday but she isn’t sitting in isolation either for a virus that could’ve been bad, or for no reason at all and we cannot get confirmation which is which

Mexico just submitted updated numbers for today and their nCFR is now over 5%. As this has spread across the globe the 5% barrier has been a good rule of thumb for when things are starting to get out of hand.
