The fact that so many people don't know that "no one" is two words, not one (noone) is equally as troubling IMO

Dude that is not what this is, if you can’t differentiate between that and what these guys did I don’t know what the hell is wrong with you.

They took advantage of this girl whether she legally consented or not. What they did was morally wrong, it’s very different than a one night stand.

I just wouldn’t lump the kids who didn’t respond to the messages into the same category. There are a thousand reasons why people wouldn’t have seen or responded to the exchange in real time.

Well that’s fair, they probably shouldn’t all 57 be held accountable.

We clearly aren’t going to agree. And the fact that you see nothing wrong with 7+ guys taking advantage of a drunk/high girl and then inviting their whole fraternity to do the same just because they maybe didn’t break the law, means that I’m very glad we don’t agree

Put another way, even if the girl had signed a written document saying that she wanted to do ketamine and get gangbanged, then sent that statement to the police in advance, it would still be a bad idea as a dude to participate. If a group of guys did that when I was in college, everyone would have thought that was incredibly weird.

Why though? Where is the accountability for her for her choices here? She did this, had no issue with it, according to her won statements and texts) until it became public knowledge, then cried rape. And we're supposed to be mad at the guys here more so than her?

What in the world is wrong with yall?

No one should be siding with anyone in this situation. The plain truth of the matter is that all parties involved acted depraved and despicably. There is nothing redeeming from this situation at all and there are no innocent parties to be found anywhere.

With that all being said, given what the facts are as they stand, I find it very difficult to want to send these guys to jail for what they did as no law appears to have been broken. That doesn't mean I support them or side with them.

I agree with you. The fact that someone texted "Free Pussy upstairs" to 57 of his brothers or something along those lines kind of says it all. Anyone with half a brain can understand the context of "Free" means "this chick is so gone anyone can come in here and do whatever they want". If some dorks read that and thought "wow does that mean I can finally get some?" then went upstairs to go join in, then they are predators and you can't say they didn't take advantage of a woman in a vulnerable state. I don't know if they can be charged, but they deserve all the shame they are getting.

Based on her initial statement, to the cops, about the event the guys were also doing ketamine and drinking. So much so that one of the guys was falling asleep during the threesome. It seems like he was taken advantage of more than her if it's about being too drunk/high to consent.

Wow. I guess Bonnie Blue and every other porn star that has performed a gangbang was "so gone anyone can come in here and do whatever they want."

You know that porn is entertainment fantasy and not real life right?

I’m not necessarily “mad” at them per se, at least in a ranking versus her. I’m saying that their behavior is bizarre and sketchy, even if we give them the benefit of the doubt on the potential rape.

It would also be bizarre behavior for her to consent to having sex with seven dudes at once.

I think porn brain is a huge part of the disconnect. People learn about this story and brains go either to her being a completely willing participant or a completely unwilling participant. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I think that the Cornell investigation and punishments are instructive. Cornell put out a FAQ on its investigation and case handling. The university wrote

quote:

The university’s Title IX investigation occurred over several months. Pursuant to federal law, the matter was sent to a hearing where a panel of trained faculty and staff heard evidence over multiple days. The complainant and respondents had the opportunity to testify and present evidence. At its conclusion, the hearing panel issued a range of sanctions, which included expulsions and suspensions from Cornell.

To me, the "range of sanctions" including expulsion is instructive. I suspect that the students who were expelled might have gone beyond whatever it is she consented to.

The kid who was turned down for a make-out session though....probably stung in the moment. But that rejection saved him from taking a mouthful of his friends' jism and probably saved him from a rape charge too.

They were drunk too. Was she taking advantage of them? Your entire premise is that she as the female is by default more virtuous or something.

Engaging in a drunken gangbang in a fraternity house is indeed pretty irresponsible behavior but she's not a victim of the situation she's a participant just like they are

It isn't in the middle though because she admitted to complete consent to multiple threesomes with multiple different guys

When one guy wanted a foursome she said no and he said ok and didn't do it

When another guy tried to join and kiss her she said no and he backed off

According to...her

The problem is only a tiny bit of information has been put out. One kid could have sent that message unbeknownst to everyone else involved.

Which goes back to the outrage of this whole case. So many people making judgments on limited information and seemingly tons of hearsay and internet rumors. Same shite in the Nolan Wells case.
