Besides the fuzz being sacks o' crap, I find it just as appalling this man has to spend additional untold money to argue the legality of his own property. That judges cannot or will not intervene and put this to bed immediately. Just more evidence it's all a big scam. The largest street gang on the planet.

I'm sure no one has ever had their cash stolen from them before. You're right. The only dangers of carrying around a large amount of cash is civil asset forfeiture. Robbers and thieves don't exist.

I'd have simply asked the troopers, 'Am I under arrest?'...especially after reading the document.

That is relevant but the crux of the matter is that his money was first stolen, by the fricking police.
Having to go to court and have a judge order them to give the money back just shows that those cops are a bunch of pigs.

As I noted in the other thread that covered this, the guy probably intended to evade taxes with his cash purchase.
Still though, that's a matter for the IRS and not local police. And it is still completely legal (if incredibly dumb) to carry that much cash even if you intend to use it inappropriately later.

Link to anyone other than pro athletes, celebs getting robbed of large amounts of cash? Support your side of the argument with some facts. Otherwise you're just making assumptions.
I have some on my side, like the OP link. Can link many more cops robbing travelers than I can find stories of average citizens being robbed of large amounts by other citizens/illegal aliens. The assertion I made is true: Cops are the largest threat to people carrying large amounts of cash.

I was at a house 17 years ago that had police enter with no warrant. Knowing I was clean I challenged the police. The officer said "kenner passed a law allowing police to search any house they suspect engaged in illegal activity"
I pointed out the bill of rights and was removed. FWIW they got a lid of Mexican from the house, no charges filed, no one signed the search consent. They said they were coming back, they never did.
