Does it matter? They obviously weren’t there and the police were.

Feel bad for the truck driver. He killed someone and couldn’t do anything about it. She was sitting in the middle of the road wanting to die. Terrible

Would you have stopped and given her a ride?
Giving someone a ride in a cop car is a lot different than having them in your POV

NOPD did this to a guy on I10 walking on the shoulder. Just following him into Jefferson Parish with their lights on until he played frogger on the interstate and the state boys corralled him.
I watched it all unfold and was mind boggled.

This is really sad. Just let her hang out in the sober tank at the jail, Andy Griffith style.

Even if you aren't concerned for her, she is a danger to others being out there. What if a motorcycle hit her?
Those cops acted like teenage boys.

So whats the solution? cops should pick up every person walking down the road needing a ride?
Next thing you know people who run out of gas on the side of the road are going to want help too

She should have claimed she was an illegal alien. She would have been given a ride to her new apartment and handed a prepaid debit card.

This is so sad. What kind of person or police officer or not leaves a woman on the side of a deserted highway with no lights.
Protect and serve is no more.

fricking cops would rather sit there and argue with a distressed woman for 20 minutes for tiktok footage instead of just being a decent human and driving her to a shelter or gas station .
Like what is your actual fricking job if it's not to help a distressed and impaired woman walking/staggering on the interstate in the dark?
Shaking my head

Nope. They don't attempt to even help anymore.

Would have saved their tax base a whole lot of tax dollars that are going to be spent settling this case when the family inevitable sues.

There are really good cops who do a great job and there are cops who are shite people.
I told someone that today. There seems to be no in between.

Probably at home. Considering she admitted to running away from him after being abused.

It was not a good decision but not all police officers are like that. I had car trouble on the way to work one morning and called for a tow truck. A sheriff's deputy who was passing by stopped and waited with me until the tow truck arrived. I thanked him and he said that he has a wife, mom, and 2 daughters. He tries to treat women the way he would want an officer to treat them. I'm pretty sure he would have given the woman a ride.
I read this whole post asssuming you were a guy. When I got to the bottom I was like "damn. Sick burn."

No, but that woman was clearly not in her right mind.
Did you watch the video?
She sat down in the middle of the right lane of the road. Waiting to be hit.
She basically committed suicide.
They just didn't care.

sheriff's deputy
That’s why, deputies and state police (though by the book 100%) show more human compassion, PD’s are bottom of the barrel humans doing a bottom of the barrel job. Seriously think about, of all those “racial” cop instances, like saint Floyd, Missouri hands up don’t shoot, it’s never a sheriff’s department or state police involved, it’s always low IQ PD’s.

Drugged out woman commits suicide. Guess it's a story because there's video of her.
