So all the reviews are wrong?

The OT drives platinum and king ranch F150s with trucknutz, they wouldn’t waste their time researching any midsize truck.

I'm a GM guy....had GM most of my life. And I also wiped up leaking oil and dealt with rattling interior and failed electronics.

Bought Honda in 2009, holy shite! No leaks, no rattles and zero issues! Traded and bought another Honda in 2016...same story.

Bottom line...GM is shite!

Then don't buy a Colorado. We have a bunch at work. They are piles of shite. After about six months the interior goes to shite. Then electronics. Then that fricking door alarm. You have to slam the door so hard to get the fucjing think to stop.

But hey man, the douchebag Potsch Boyd (that has to be the douchiest name of all time) assures me over and over again that it has great initial quality.

Yea but still $37k for a new XLT 4x4 seems like a good deal. I guess that's the smallest engine but I don't care. Still more towing capacity than the Colorado i assume

This one seems like a good deal, no?

It does, but if I bought a Ford it would have to have a V8.

Wound that truck have any problem towing a bay boat or small trailer? That's the only thing I might ever how. I don't wanna spend for the V8 if I have no use for it.

I'm sure it would handle the weight fine.

Next door neighbor just had to drop $2500 for new turbos at 75k miles though, that's why I'd want the V8.

Go test drive every brand's truck. Not like it costs anything. You can be in any of the big 3's truck for that price, so shop around.

I could consider a full size but what full size can I get with decent options for under $40,000

How's about a new Sierra SLT 2wd for around $38-$39k?

Do not buy a Colorado or any GM. I had a 2016 GMC Canyon-the Colorado twin and it was a massive piece of shite. One year in and the entire steering column was being replaced along with all sorts of other issues.

I’d go full size for the car seat space. And that’s as a Colorado owner myself. The whole “why not pay $5k more for a full size?” Is a load of crap. If you want a used 2wd full size truck then sure, it will only be $5k more. And my colorado hasn’t had any problems with the interior or drivetrain. I wouldn’t worry about maintenance. Definitely tell there is less room, even though the twins are the biggest mid size trucks...ever?

I drive a Tacoma and I'm currently looking for a new vehicle because I need to fit a second car seat in the back. Do what everyone else is telling you and get a full-size if you've gotta have a truck.

I have a 2017 Colorado LT with the V6. Been having it for 9 months and I love it. The ride is great, the performance of the engine is better than I thought it would be. The lifetime mpg on my truck so far is 20.7 with 8k miles on it.

I test drove the taco and colorado before buying the Colorado. The only selling point the taco had was the resale value. Event the salesman couldn't come up with anything else when I compared the two.

Brought home a 2017 F150 XLT FX4 with the 3.5L turbo V6 loaded minus leather for significantly less than 40k.

I drive a 17 Taco but I think YOU should drive a Colorado based on asking other people to make your decision for you. Worm.

Most of the reviews are probably about initial quality, not long-term reliability.

I don't know anything about trucks, but my Toyota Camry was built to last.

I bought a used on tricked out by the past owner. I like it and use it as a personal vehicle. I tow a small war eagle boat with 90 hp fine. I drive it around town and love that it fits in small compact car spaces where my F-150 4-door 4x4 cannot fit. It handles very well for a compact truck.

If you want a full-size this is not your truck. If you want a small truck that gets around town nicely and on a few occasions tow a small light trailer or boat it is a fine truck.

The chevy Colorado is 2 yrs old no issues.

My F-150 4x4 is 4 months old with 20,000 miles. I had a brake master cylinder replaced, 1 drivers side heated seat replaced, leak in the front windshield where they had to pull it out and replace the carpet, and gears changed in my rear axle. This will be my last ford for awhile once I sell it in 2 yrs.

Colorado is a good truck. I kind of want one with the diesel.
