I worked at a convenience store in New Orleans one summer. They were 20 or so characters who came in 2-3 times a day everyday. They came in the morning to get breakfast, candy, and smokes before going to work. They may stop in at lunch for a sandwich. They stopped by on the way home for beer and smokes. Sometimes they came by before closing for ice cream and snacks and more beer and smokes before closing.

The prices are like triple what you’d pay at a grocery store such as HEB or Walmart.
Hence the name... Convenience stores. You pay for the convenience of just going in, grabbing a few things and checking out.
I was in a mobile the other day and the dude in front of me was scanning his scratchoffs. He had several and when he got his money back on a few and he said "that's my gas money. I needed more than that". So evidently he didn't understand how the game enough to know if he won. I assumed he just bought lotto tickets, scratched them then scanned them. Either way, that's just how it is. When you go into a convenience store you know there will likely be at least one degenerate in there.
I rather someone who can barely speak English working there than the absolute trash that you will come across depending on where you go. The mobile closest to me has two trashy women who run the place. Anytime you go there its going to be one of them and some other trashy person working. They are always talking about their personal life where everyone can hear it. There are always people arguing. You can pop in and comment on whatever they are talking about just to stir the pot a little and then pop out with them all worked up.. But that's the beauty of it. Its a true convenience store experience.
Why do you act like you are better than convenience store people? Are you not able to socialize with different groups of people?

Stopping in one in Wyoming is a totally different experience than going in one here in Alabama. Fast food restaurants for that matter. I wonder why?
less towns that are 50% ignorant methy white trash?

Specifically which town in Wyoming and which town in Alabama? There’s plenty of meth heads running around Wyoming

It is like they charge more just because it is convenient. Crazy concept.
You'll pay it if you need it.
Like Robert Earl Keen said...
Send somebody to the Quickpak Store
We need some ice and an extension chord
A can of bean dip and some Diet Rites
A box of tampons and some Marlboro Lights...

they’re the owners
Wrong. 95% of "owners" are actual partnerships and the stores are run by family members or associates of the family. I know this.

there's a high chance the Mountain Dew will always be bad.
I usually get one to go with my half price cheeseburger from Sonic on Tuesday night. :Only in America!

They don’t sell Natty Daddys in the grocery store.

I miss the Family Mart, Lawson, 7-11, and other convenience stores in Japan. Both the products and the people. Most of them were a better shopping experience than the actual grocery stores back here.
