Well you’ve got over 584 downvotes, smart arse. Then shop somewhere else.
“Our associates are trained to check receipts to make sure unbagged items, and those at the bottom of the basket, have been scanned. As more of our stores are equipped with self-checkout machines, our associates will check receipts to make sure the transaction went smoothly.”

I prefer to check out with a cashier when available. But, it would not mater the receipt sentinels demand to see every one's receipt.

No, but its irrelevant. It has been posted that their members sign a contract agreeing to this process.
Interesting point since this is the same corporation why would they not just expect everyone to accept i as policy without a signed contract. That is tacit admission there is no basis to demand to see the receipt.

The store could provide larger bags for some large purchases and could provide a tag type identification for TVs and the like.
And there would still have to be someone at the exit to look for the tag on big items. Cashiers are going to just slap that crap anywhere on the box.
IMO, that takes the same time if not more, as showing your receipt.
Don't like it, don't shop WalMart.

Walmart's problem, not mine. I would just keep walking as normal so the time would be irrelevant.

Nope,I respect the process like any other law abiding and respectful citizen. At that point the product still belongs to the store. Once I complete the transaction and the cashier hands me a receipt the product is legally mine as is my right to depart the store and ignore any requests to show the receipt.
Nice try to create a moral equivalency, but you failed.
Just because you bought something doesn't mean you are allowed to ignore the business' processes. You are still on their premises, thus should still follow their policies.
Again, you are just trashy

You can do that with your receipt in your hand.
I don't ever stop to let them look at the receipt.
Quit bitching about something so unimportant.

What is the basis I have to follow their policies? I have complied with my obligation to pay for their products that I legally purchased. I owe them no further interaction.

If you can’t prove you’re not being an a-hole after 33 pages, I think it’s time to give it up.

You sound like so much fun at parties. I bet you bitch about a Bj.

The basis is that you're still on their property. Their rules dont fly out the window just because you bought something.
I want to say dont be a trashy dipshit, but you are too far along for that

There does not have to be a basis. They can make whatever rules they want. You buying something does nothing to impact their ability to make whatever rules they want inside of their store. None whatsoever. They may not physically enforce the receipt checking, but that is still their rule and they need zero outside basis to have it in place.
You have said a million times that you will not follow their policy. Cool. No one admires you. You can do whatever you want. Stop repeating it.
S T F U about it.

They have only asked to see my receipts if I have something in my cart that doesn’t fit into a bag
You’re a stupid fricker.

This thread needs to end..... we have been going at it for way to long on this topic. The OP seems like a thief who was scared to get caught and needs to move to a country with more liberties than we have here to be happy and NOT bothered by someone just doing their job. Enough said!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never disagreed wit this. They can make all the rules they want but none of them require me to show a receipt. Now if you want to willingly comply you may do so.
