Many times in life I have done what you are doing here and in the end nothing changes. You taking a stand is not going to change their policy because a shite ton of people steal from them every day and they are going to always want to check receipts. I get it though....it is a dogshit policy so don't shop there.

Only thing you are doing by acting like an arse is embarrassing your kids and or family (assuming you have any and they are with you) and making these people who are told to check receipts life a living hell. They already have to deal with everyone coming into and out of walmart all day (the normal riff raff) why add to it for a losing battle? There is nothing to gain here to prove your point. Shop where they don't ask you for a receipt. That is how you can win, especially for your blood pressure.

You monumental dumb arse.

So some young poor kid is going to come on here and read this thread and try your tactic. He is going to be labeled as a bigger threat than you because, i can obviously tell by your posting, you look like a bitch boy and they shrugged it off. You obviously didn't have the balls to steal anything anyway so they let it go. Young poor kid doesn't look like a bitch like the OP, and gets shot trying to stand up for his legally bought groceries.

Then some right wing comply or die nut jobs are going to knight for Walmart security and local cops.

Someone is going to look up young poor kids history and refer to that time he jaywalked so he's obviously a criminal.

News media won't report the story correctly it will be obviously skewed wayyy right or wayyy left depending on owners for said media organization.

We will have multiple double digit threads on Tigerdroppings about it

and shitty celebrities and athletes will all have an opinion.

All this because you. A shitty poster decided to be a dick and post on the internet about it in an effort get away from your bitch boy image and sound tough.

lastly you still go to Walmart. Sorry you are so poor

But he doesn’t understand logic because he is a myopic Idiot. But he is getting a ton of attention. I’ll give him that. Obviously it’s what he needs.

You sound like the MSNBC and CNN hosts who twist and contort unrelated scenarios to blame Trump for causing something he has no control over.

I very politely told the receipt sentinel no and kept walking. Hardly qualifies as " making their life living hell. "

Please forgive me for not skimming, but did you already say if/why you’re choosing to shop there knowing this policy is in place?

Product selection.

I have no problem with any aspect of the store operation ( other than not enough registers open at times ) until being requested to provide a receipt for purchases which are now my bought and paid for property.

Ok, man. You have said that multiple times, and established that you did the same with the officer. The store did not indicate to the officer that you were suspected of a crime, and therefore you walked away with no incident whatsoever. This has been discussed ad nauseum. There were no rights implicated or violated by your experience.

Ok. You stuck it to the man and said no. Stop beating your chest about it over and over again. You're a brave hero, we get it. You have received the answer to the question in your OP dozens of times.

And you said no, refused to comply, and walked out. With no incident whatsoever. No one is impressed, and no one thinks this makes you principled for taking a noble stand against a corporate theft prevention policy.

I have no problem with a corporation trying to stop criminal activity. That being said, I take issue with a policy which requires exiting customers to prove their innocence and be subjected to police interrogation for failure to provide a receipt for legally purchased products.

I have no issue with you and other sheeple who willingly comply, your body your choice, right?

The mere fact the store employee as representative of the corporation believed it was justifiable to invoke police intervention is an incident in itself.

I have never seen so many people get worked up over a fricking Walmart greeter. If you want to show your receipt, show it. If you don’t, then don’t. Jesus Christ.

This was a receipt sentinel, not a greeter. The greeter welcomed me to the store upon arrival, gleeful with anticipation of the money I would spend.

The receipt sentinel demanded I show proof of spending that money in the absence of any allegation of a crime.
