Another bridge leading to I10 to funnel traffic. Shouldn't have to wait an hour to cross a bridge.

The diversion canal.

They have been taxing people to build it for years. It would have saved thousands of homes in EBR and Livingston from flooding had it been in place last year.

Edit: And some fricking roads.

What are your excuses for not taking advantage of this void?

I've always thought that a decent boudin shop somewhere near Tiger Stadium would print money.

A grid road system. Without it public transportation will always suck and traffic will alway be bad. It is time to correct mistakes made in the past 50 years of expansion.

Attracting touring musical events commensurate with a population this size. There's absolutely no reason Biloxi (for instance) should have constant notable musical draws while Baton Rouge gets jack squat, year in and year out.

The main problem, terrible public schools for most.
Second problem, no long range traffic plan ever developed and implimented.

The problem with the schools is mostly the clientele. You have to move to the burbs or go the private route. This is actually not uncommon in the South. I wouldn't put my kids in Houston or Birmingham public schools either.

Unintentional Segregation

As like Texas where an entire area (Southlake, Frisco, Plano, McKinney) is not affordable to low income individuals.

There are limited or very expensive apartments and no section 8 within 40 miles.

These by coincidence are also some of the safest places to live in America. Boom !!

Biloxi is a very large tourist draw. Baton Rouge is not.

1. Extra lane coming off the new bridge to college drive heading eastbound.

2. Loop including an extra bridge near Plaquamines

3. Real working mass transit system that connects LSU, Downtown, the Airport, the Zoo, hospitals, blue bayou, MSY, Zephyr, and the NOLA CBD, that doesn't impead car traffic lanes, abd is run by people who aren't theaves.

4. Comprehensive plan to connect our streets forming a better surface street grid

5. 4-lane Nicholson from Burbank to LA-44

6. Decent public schools

7. A gym modeled after Red's in Lafayette in the Mid City area

8. Perkins Rowe esque development downtown in those parking/empty lots downtown on Lafayette Street(retail, movie theatre, book store, condos, parking garage, and maybe a bowling alley)

9. A police department that focuses more on investigating property crime and violent crime than on ticketing people.

10. Real drainage system designed to meet the needs of the future, not needs from 20 years ago.

11. Bike Path system connecting all of the BREC properties between LSU Lakes and Santa Maria

12. minor league or LSU Div 1 NCAA men's hockey team at the River Center

Correct me if I'm wrong but she's only been mayor for what 5 months? The lack of planning and infrastructure has been going on for over half a century.

connecting neighborhoods instead of creating them with a single entrance/exit
One of the things I love about BR

I hate how you can pass through any neighborhood in Nola/ Metairie and have a random business or ahitty apartment building right next to houses
