Comus pages looking for king cake drive truck into donut shop, mistakenly take ATM

Witnesses say thieves smashed a pickup truck into the front of a New Orleans donut shop on Tuesday morning before stealing the store's ATM.
Employees tell WWL-TV the crash happened after 4:30 a.m. at the Tastee Donuts in the 2500 block of Esplanade Avenue. They say a car smashed into the front of the building prompting them to run out the back of the building to safety.
The employees said two men had guns and tried to shoot security cameras while working to steal the shop's ATM machine. The thieves then used the pickup truck to remove the ATM before driving off.
"I know they’re going to be mad once they open it up that’s a waster of time, we’re losing a day of work over something that’s real stupid," said Michael Ulmer, an employee at the Tastee Donuts. "Go find a job do something sweep up the street go help your mom out, come on. The stuff you’re doing here is irrelevant it’s sad."

I'm confused. The article reads like they made off with the ATM, but they are going to be mad once it's opened. Was it an empty ATM or something?

That’s why it`s not a good idea to have an ATM on an accessible wall these days. Next speech Destroya will just say again that she doesn`t embrace being on the top list for murders and crime in the USA. More lies and denial with confidence that her ignorant voter base will back her and her minions.

The tastee doughnuts should have had an armed guard protecting the atm….just like it’s the fault of the parking lots for the vehicle thefts/vandalism.

Comus is an old line Mardi Gras krewe (think country clubs and debutantes). So, the opposite of people that steal ATMs

I used to have a king cake drive truck. That thing was bad arse. It could do 0 to 60 in 23.6 seconds.
