Thinking about majoring in computer engineering. Is it a good overall job? Stressful? Hard to get a degree in it? Something I want to devote my time in college Into? Advice?

You sound like a huge pussy.

Most things in life are worth the effort you put into it. If you're already worried about it being stressful, too hard, or not worth your time...then just become a fricking $9.50 an hour production worker.

What? Hard work? Yes, I have...and do every day.

You might not like the answer I gave you, but trust me when I say that is the God's honest truth.

If you want to do it, then do it - quit being a pussy.

I'll need to see some paperwork first but right now I'm thinking your area of engineering should be checking the wheels of the types of dumpsters that are on wheels.

Yeah sorry I want to know what best fits me and my knowledge. Don't want to end up as a "production worker" and do the "hard work" you claim to do.

apply yourself with utter seriousness

you can make a good living.

you can have fun.

yes, its stressful. the stress depends on who is running things, and what you are building/doing. life and death. stress. money. stress.

see, even a game company is stressful because the competition and the pressure to do well is so great.

you have a chance to create.

or you can be a cog in a big machine.

PS. Take 4 courses in accounting. most computer work is related to money in some ways. banks. insurance companies. just keeping track of the money.

Well, I guess that's where you got me, my GPA did not have the ability to run.

Good luck with your future.

Computer engineering isn't a "job". There are several different types of careers the degree points to.

Stressful? Hard? Yes.

No one knows what you want to devote your time too. You sound like you're already prepared to fail.

Hence why I asked for advice. Personal advice! How others who may have had a career in that field enjoyed the job overall and were some perks and downfalls. Was not looking for people to say yes/no go down this career path. Just looking for simple advice from different people.
