There is a variant of Omicron that's more contagious
The big question would be is if those folks who had Omicron (a ton of us) would be immune. I would think chances are good.

Stop spouting this retarded drivel.
I don’t think there is necessarily a target audience, but anecdotally - I didn’t catch the Rona until after I had been vaccinated, and I caught it from a vaccinated friend. It was the equivalent of the weakest flu of all time, but still frustrating to watch the stupid arse mandates being rolled out time and time again with this nonsense being shoved down our throats. Meanwhile vaccinated people are the ones toting it around unchecked.

According to the Covid estimator site, just over 10% of La’s population but I’m convinced that those folks either live under a rock or have some sort of magic blood running thru them that stops Covid in its tracks.
Wife has gotten it twice now and I’ve tested 4 times between both times and all negative. I’m sure I’ve had it and maybe missed the time frame I should be testing but I’ve never had more than sniffles besides the vax emulating the virus. I’m sure the percent that have “never” gotten it or a positive test recorded are similar to my experience.
ETA: As far as the virus moving forward, I believe by March or April this will not be a huge thing anymore.

How is this accurate when Omicron has 120% more cases per day? I think you are WAY off on this statistic since your statistic would only be valid if case cases were the same.
I’m pulling the data from LDH. Also those are the total numbers. The case/ hospitalizations rate for Omicron is MUCH lower than Delta even w/o factoring out the folks who are in the hospital for other reasons but happen to be Covid +.

Though deaths are nearly split 50/50 in a 50/50 fully vaccinated state. It was 53/47 un-fully vaccinated for the last week of data.
You have to back out the young population which isn’t dying of COVID wether they are vaccinated or not
It’s closer to 75% of people over 30
And of those who are truly vulnerable to death from COVID it’s like 85-90% vaccinated over 65

The site factors people not getting tested in to its estimate

The shots aren’t stopping the spread. That’s what everyone should take away from this.

Vents Delta Peak - 480 Omicron Current - 180 (63% decrease from Delta)
And I would bet a lot of these vents are from Delta variants
Studies show that omicron is not effective at infecting lung cells

I would imagine all number have a high number of "with covid" and not "for covid".

Not vaccinated here and got the Omicron variant. My symptoms were migraine headache, no appetite and mild diarrhea. I lost 17 lbs in two weeks also.

Anecdotally, it's only the unvaccinated posters here telling their stories about family members being on deaths door...

Very similar for me. I caught omicron on MLK. I had fevers all night, night sweats and chills. It took me a few days to kick it, then I lost taste and smell for three days. I did a vinegar, lemon, and garlic taste routine I found online to jolt it all back and it worked. I still have a lingering cough. No shots for me.
ETA: I had the shits as well for a couple days after the fevers.

The data is faulty, could be admitted for gunshot wound, car accident, etc... and just happened to test positive on admittance, especially for Omicron
Is there any publicly gathered data on this kind of scale that is not faulty?

Oh I was assuming that in my earlier post about where the spread comes from. Everyone is getting Omicron. There is like 10-15% of the population who won't get it, and I assume a lot of those already had Covid not long ago and have antibodies preventing an Omicron infection.

If the vaccine was effective there wouldn't be that many vaccinated people dying no matter how old they are.

Who is left to get infected by the new strain?
Not sure but the media said it's even more contagious than omicron, but they don't know how deadly it is (which means it's way less deadly than omicron but they don't want to say that because they need a ratings driver)

Everyone that I know that is positive is vaxxed.
Just an observation in my small world.

Omicron is good for us. Basically vaccinates the ones who refuse.
That’s a solid take. The issue is that we got lucky that omicron wasn’t as virulent as past variants. Luck being the key word, as it may not hold with the next variant.
