Compared to YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV is embarrasing

After the recent Youtube TV price hike, I've been trialing Hulu + Live TV out of spite.

After a couple of weeks or so, I'm ready to throw in the towel.

Terrible interface (which I already knew about from regular Hulu), but no rewinding or fast forwarding through commercials on live TV, even after paying for "no commercials?" The DVR doesn't have basic folders and lists every single episode of a show in a chaotic mess? Some shows refuse to be listed as "watched," and others stay in My Stuff even after being removed? What a glitchy, half-arse service.

In comparison I actually like Fubo, but the lack of the SEC Network, ESPN, and FX right now makes it impossible to commit to for another month.

Sling is out because they don't offer local channels for some reason.

Why can't anyone come out with a decently comparable service to YouTube TV? I'm literally trying to throw them my money and no one else seems to be able to remotely get their shite together.

Youtube TV is not without its own issues, but it looks like there's no other real choice, especially if we ever get football back.

Blame the programmers and their ridiculous rates and contracts that they charge the distributors.

I had Hulu Live before YoutubeTV and I’ll gladly take the price increase with YoutubeTV because I know how bad it was with HuluLive. Never again will I go back to Hulu live.

I did the same thing. Left Youtube a while back to try Sling, Hulu live, etc. I'm back at Youtube and now i'm pretty happy with it. I actually didn't mind the price hike because i was sourcing those channels elsewhere and now its all in one.

the difference I pay for Cox cable with the fiance to get and record all her bravo shows is well worth the now shrinking difference. This was always going to happen

Still have my grandfathered plan that I have used for travel for years now

Best you can get for the cheapest

New plans are expensive as hell though. Better off just bundling cable with your internet

I have hulu live. I see no problem with it. I get all locals and all the sports channels too for $55. Coming from DirecTV, I love hulu so far

Yeah, after a short learning curve it’s really pretty straightforward.

If they don’t have a smart TV with the app already, personally I’d recommend a Roku stick (or box) with the volume buttons, so that there’s no need for multiple remotes.

Buy a $35 attic antenna and get every local channel you'll ever need.

frick it all. All the keeping up with, shopping around, trying to find a match of services to give us everything we want, technical issues... is not worth our time. We’ve spent countless hours of our lives messing with this shite only to save a few bucks. Time is money.

Why do you need live TV at all? No live sports worth watching currently and I couldn’t tell you what’s been on cable the last 10 years.

Since 2010, Ive been antenna and Netflix only. Recently got regular Hulu since its included with my Spotify premium. Antenna gets me the locals and i can find enough content on Netflix and Hulu to stream. Maybe its because I don’t watch a lot of tv but I haven’t missed cable/live tv at all.
