I like the coffee that's roasted closest to me. In Baton Rouge that's Community, in New Orleans that's Folgers.

I’ve tried lots of different brands, and Caribou is what I drink at home. They grind it to order for whatever your coffee setup is (paper filter grind for drip coffee makers, for example) and their medium roasts are what coffee should taste like to me. Black and doesn’t need anything added to make it palatable.
Grinding your own beans is the single biggest improvement you can make over buying most pre ground supermarket coffee though.

Community Dark Roast. Black. I cannot drink any other coffee. Been that way 50+ years.
Before Community became a ‘national’ brand, I’d have to make trips to Louisiana in order to stock up. I’d buy 20 of those one pound vacuum sealed bricks for my stash at a time.
Folgers is bilge water.

There's two kinds of coffee. Community and free coffee. My office bought Maryland Club coffee. I drank it.

So what’s the best medium roast Kurig pod ? I’ve been working my way thru several and have not found one I like ! I realize the Kurig is not the best coffee maker but it sure is quick and easy.

CC is best for the price point.
When I'm out of town though I do like Cafe Bustelo. Its a burnt bean type(not unlike Starbucks) but mixes well with hazel nut creamer.
