He should have to sit in the tank for about a month to think about what he did

Now, let's have a little chat about drug dogs and the assholes who use (or abuse) them to get a false hit in order to have "probable cause".

Im dead serious, he should be flogged to the edge of death then dipped in Hydroflouric acid.

You know, there's nothing in the Constitution proper or the Bill of Rights that says "unless you're drunk." Drunk people have the rights to be secure in their homes, assemble freely, speak their minds, and bear arms.
I would interpret "assemble freely" to include driving a car, in our era. A drunk driver who doesn't damage anything or break some other law ought to be protected from criminal charges by any reasonable interpretation of the Constitution.
Similarly, I believe registration and insurance requirements, driving tests, etc. are unconstitutional. The question to ask is, "would the founders have found it acceptable to forbid a man from riding on horseback on such a basis?" and the answer is a resounding "no."

He should be arrested, not suspended

Says who?
The crooked cop who’s been arresting multiple people who blew zero and had negative blood tests?
The crooked cop who arrested someone who had a bottle of melatonin, an over the counter sleep aid, claims it tested positive for fentanyl, then charged him with possessing meth?
Are you as stupid, crooked, and clueless as the cop?

Probably is a cop.
They always protect each other.

a crooked cop is the lowest of the low.
he should be hanged.
he should be hanged.

Honestly, he should be executed. I'm one who defends police officers more than most, but I also believe they should be held to a higher standard when committing wrongdoing. Straight up lying to throw someone in jail should be punished very, very severely.

Crooked cops should be thrown in jail for life without parole. When you're in charge of protecting the law, you should be held to a higher standard, yet cops will circle the wagons.

I wonder what percentage of cops could be arrested for this very thing?
Not only should they be imprisoned, but they should be beaten mercilessly by the folks they fricked over.

God damn you would make an excellent cop with that kind of logic jump

Damn! That city and its local sheriff's dept. sucks! A young sheriff's deputy gave me a speeding ticket for going 55 in a 45 zone when I was on the way to Athens to meet someone to look at some raw land closer to Elberton. Ticked me off! I had to plead No Lo Contendre when I showed up at court to make sure my insurance didn't get the memo.

Don't leave us hanging, man. What was the sentence? Did you at least get your shite together afterwards?

There needs to be a test for that too either by itself or in combination with alcohol. At least a real test conducted by honest officers.
I think it's called a drug test. They came with it a few years ago.

All subjective opinions of a biased observer. None are actual evidence that a crime has been committed. No evidence = no crime.
