Let's be honest here, they have no clue. No one does

Oh I know. It only takes 1 to make it a bad season for someone. Just was sharing it since I didn't see a thread on it.

Not to wish them on someone else but Louisiana has met its quota.

Who does Colorado State like in the world series?

I predict one major hurricane thread this year but there’s no freaking way Louisiana gets hit four times in three years. No way. Right??

They say that every year.
They've forecasted below average 2 of the last 6 years.
Above 3 of the last 6.
Normal for one of those.
All six have been above average.

Like betting on college football except Colorado State will change their bet halfway through the season.

This is said practically every year. I’m still praying to the shear gods

It’s exactly how they do with the new cone system. These days meteorologists have the luxury of moving the cone so by the time the hurricane gets here they’re always right. In the old days they had to knuckle down and give a real prediction.

Is Colorado state known for its tropical weather forecasting program or something?
Should we consult the University of Guatemala on what the winter in Scandinavia will be like this year?

They just go by climatological normals
We're in a La Nina phase and we have above average Atlantic hurricane seasons during La Ninas.

I’ll be in West Africa starting next week up until the beginning of hurricane season. I just predict hurricane season based on how bad the rainy season there is. It seems to be pretty accurate
