Montana and Northern Idaho have the best views IMO. I really would consider moving up there full time.

It's fantastic here, that's why I moved about 10 years ago.

Politically it's awful these days, and the influx of people are ruining the mountain experience. I'm thinking about moving to the western slope to get away from the blue clusterfrick that is Denver. Grand Junction has much quicker access to Glenwood/Aspen/Telluride/etc and has all of the amenities you'd need.

I always laugh at threads like this where you losers that stay inside and look at tv all day drive around another state and all of a sudden think Louisiana isn’t beautiful

well staying inside is the best thing you can do when its 98F and 80% humidity. Its just miserable. Besides eating, drinking, football, hunting, and fishing, there isn't much going on in LA. And you're going to be doing those things in oppressive heat or inside.

Want more beauty than CO? Keep on up to N’west WY and MT. Want more than that? Head to California.

Ive done some hiking in the Beartooth-Absaroka wilderness in MT. It was just mind-blowing. The Wind River range in WY and Yosemite are next on the list. Unparalleled beauty from what I can tell.

I guess the nice thing about CO is that wilderness is fairly close to civilization and its so cheap and easy to get to Denver.

I went to Colorado for the first time about 10 years ago.

It was first place I went on vacation that I didn’t want to come back home.

Something about the West: Co, MT,UT,ID,WY. I just love it and feel like I’ve missed out on life not living there.

I have a wonderful family in South la and don’t hate here but when I visit those places I Just don’t want to leave.

I was up there this past weekend for the first time and was in absolute amazement at how beautiful it was. I grew up in the Appalachians and visit the Smokies semi-regularly but I-70 from Denver to western Colorado was on a totally different level.

Go to Alberta, Canada. The Icefields Parkway is a helluva lot better than I-70.

We stayed on Lake Dillon and it was gorgeous. Drove out to the hot springs in Glenwood Springs on Sunday and the scenery along the way just blew my mind.

Telluride might be the prettiest town in the entire country.

Spent some time in Utah last year and loved it. I definitely picked up on the West coast vibe while I was out there. Cool people. Looking to get out to Colorado in a couple of months.

Zion is definitely the best park in that region.

Is it a dumb idea to do some Wind River hiking in December? I'm on the fence about it. Most of my hiking has been done in warmer weather.
