I was up there this past weekend for the first time and was in absolute amazement at how beautiful it was. I grew up in the Appalachians and visit the Smokies semi-regularly but I-70 from Denver to western Colorado was on a totally different level.

I've been spending an inordinate amount of time dreaming about Colorado while sweating my balls off during yet another miserable summer.

Get a script from your doctor for altitude sickness medicine. I have to take it every time I go

I don’t feel bad at altitude until I hit 12,500 or so. Makes me all fuzzy and stuff

But yeah Colorado is awesome.

it was very depressing going from 50s at night and 70s during the day and dry air to 100 and 100 in houston

Man it's miserable to me. I'm not some big fat guy either. I've just always hated the heat and humidity.

Breck’s altitude has gotten me the last 2 times I’ve been. It’s a crapshoot because it has never affected me before.

Took the family up there for a 2 week road trip last year eventually ending up in Yellowstone, and you're right, Colorado, and all of the Rocky's, are amazing.

What the politics in Colorado like? Is Denver and Boulder politics different from lets say Colorado Springs?

strap on a backpack and get into the CO backcountry. It will make you even more depressed that you live in the Deep South.

I will definitely live there one day
