Yes. Not only should you avoid anusthesia, you should demand to take it while lying on your back so you can look him in the eye, play with his hair and remember the tender moments you shared on this one special morning.

Take the snooze. You are talking to the nurse and then you are waking up in recovery launching great sonorous blasts. It’s easy! I’m a veteran of 4 of them in 20 years. I get 1 every 5 yrs due to family history.

I’ve had one. No way in hell do I want to be awake for that procedure. It would be awkward.

An acquaintance had one and the doctor asked if he minded a few observers. Hecsaid no and two dozen student nurses filed in.

Take them. You'll have a little nap and wake up and go home.

It's the laxative prep thrill ride the day before that's the real challenge. Just be prepared to see in the toilet what you had for breakfast when you were, like..., six or seven years old and in first grade.

Hell no. Do the drugs unless you like taking it up the arse.

I been thru them well over 10 times due to family history. I have to have one done every year.

I did woke up one time in the middle. Was not the best feeling. They knocked me out right away.

Yeah.
You don’t want to be awake for that.

Unless you do, and then my advice would be to seek counseling, and take the anesthesia anyway.

#38 DV. Very recent had one. Nurse said propofil would burn but it didn't bother me. Woke up what seemed like 5 mins later. Better than the demorol haze from scopes in the past.

FYI-Propofol adds $1000-2000 to the procedure for little if any benefit. (Demerol/versed can easily be given by GI doc, no need for a anesthesiologists without propofol)

I have to have them done every 2 years because of my family history and the amount of polyps they have gotten out of me. I've never done it without drugs and won't, something I don't care to remember at all.

Hate to break it to you.

But you just watched a video of some other dudes colonoscopy.

The pressure you felt back there was the Korean doctors penis. The reason it did not hurt was because “culturally” they have smaller genitalia.

Congrats on the Korean AIDS.
