Just do it. Especially since you had polyps on your first go round. Take care!

I love Propofol too, but four in a few weeks may be excessive.

I always laugh at the colonoscomites in these threads. It’s like joe exotic said, if you get a colonoscopy “you ain’t really straight!”

But IF the doctor does that prostrate exam while massaging your shoulders with both hands, you should ask for PreP.

RFK Jr says they suck, they will cause shingles, then chicken pox, then you get the tism and a ruptured spleen.

Character building is important which is why I always opt for as many fingers as possible.

So... you cited a blog post as your evidence that colonoscopies are unnecessary and may be bad for you. A blog post.

Mind you, it's some people close to me advising against a colonoscopy. I'm going.
And I'm not looking forward to it. At least the prep part.
Peeing out my butt for 24 hours is not exiting for me.

I just did it & it ain’t that bad. I was dreading it but it was really no biggie. The crazy shitting doesn’t start until the night before, when you drink that god awful solution they give you. That was the worst part for me - choking that shite down. The fasting isn’t exactly fun but it’s just one day plus the next morning. They removed 3 polyps & I just got the pathology report today that none were pre-cancerous, which is a huge relief. Been nervous as shite for the past week & a half.

Anecdotal I know, but someone I know put it off. When he finally got around to it they found a significant tumor. It all could have been avoided. Riding the silver stallion is no big deal.

Maybe some of us like blowing our guts out for 24 hours before being drugged and knocked out and having a stranger stick a camera, and if we’re lucky a laser, in our butthole.

Colonoscopy is the gold standard for detecting and removing precancerous polyps and preventing cancer. The non invasive tests are very poor for detecting advanced polyps and the stool DNA tests can also Miss up to 8pct of cancers while the FIT test is almost worthless and the new blood tests can Miss up to 20 pct of cancers ! There will be some better non invasive tests in the next few years but for now colonoscopy is the gold standard

They really are not that bad, and taking into account the increase in cancer rates, our garbage processed food diets, the fact that colorectal cancers are silent killers, and the low incidence of adverse events, there really is no reason to avoid them.

As long as you don't get colon cancer you don't need a colonoscopy.

Don't be a victim of the doctor saying "we could have helped you if we knew about this at the beginning."

Get it. Peace of mind. I had several polyps which they removed. I was shocked.
