Playing golf in the upper '30s isn't fun but I one a few bets.

The LSU/Notre Dame Independence Bowl was cold as balls.

My sophomore year we played UK(tennis) and it snowed during our match(and this was in BR ). UK had the option to go home without the match being played since it was under 40 degrees and we dont have indoor courts.

2007, 2008, 2009 Megavalanche. Not sure what the temp was but the race starts on the top of pic blanc glacier in the french alps >3000m. First couple miles is just snow ice mixture before hitting some of the sweetest, most brutal single track.

So I Take it you're taking the HTFU approach. No wavering on your decision?

Nope. Q50 midnight trail run is also still on!

I will be packing every piece of cold weather gear I own!

Motocross in 29 degrees.
What was worse was a 30 mile trail ride in the 30s. Not 5 minutes into the ride, went through a "puddle" in the trail that turned out to be a couple feet deep. Got drenched. My gloves plus everything inside my boots were soaked in near freezing water for the rest of the ride. Hands and feet were numb. That was the most miserable ride of my life.

Jeff is in but Paul is thinking about skipping it.

Now that I think about it... Paul talked me into River Roux and Q50, he has to do it!

I forgot about that. I think I might just put my wetsuit on at the hotel. Have you done this one before?

Standard body marking? Age on calf, number on both biceps?

When I was in HS - The State Soccer Quarterfinals were in 30 degree weather and wind chill in the lower 20s. I refused to wear anything heavier than sliding pants on my legs and a single thermal shirt under my jersey. The ball was so fricking hard I had "tattoos" from trapping the ball various ways for days.

In college - Played a game vs Tulsa that was just as bad... except the field wasn't soggy - It was frozen astroturf.

ETA:

Yes - real Astroturf. This was in the mid-1990s.

i was also at 4 very cold LSU games that have already been mentioned...

INDY bowl VS ND
INDY bowl Vs Mich State

(just about every Indy bowl ever has been miserable)

LSU at Arkansas 1993...snowed...game was moved to a night game and we didn't know because we were traveling and we got to the stadium like 4 hours early.
Troy @ LSU and I am proud to say I stayed the whole game and got to talk shite back to the Troy players that were talking to the crowd the whole game.

I've raced a few motocross races in the wet 30's. After the first lap, the cold was totally blocked out of my mind.

I played in a soccer tournament in freezing weather one time. I played sweeper, and the team we played was way better than us. We somehow kept it 0-0 and won in penalties. I blocked probably 10 shots with my thighs that game. I had bruises with the imprints of the soccer ball panels all over my legs. Good times.
