Everyone seems to think Energy Drinks are bad for you. Fact is, if you drink a sugar free type, there is not enough Sucralose to cause any harm and the amount of caffeine is roughly equal to 2 cups of coffee, and the type of caffeine is usually Green Tea based. Everything else is very good for you, lots of vitamins and supplements. The key is to drink in moderation, don’t slug down several a day, stick to one or possibility two per day.

I drink both at different times. If I'm out on a project site at 7am and the sun and humidity are already cranking up, I don't want a hot drink in my hand, let alone drinking it. Different story in an air conditioned office.

Remember when you were crying about not being able to afford a used Dodge Ram, I bet those field baws could.

I drink neither. I have actually never had an energy drink and have only had a few cups of coffee in my life.
Smart man!

I drink about two cups of coffee every morning. Everything else I drink is water except some wine with dinner and an occasional cocktail.

I have a long drive most mornings. Red Bull on the drive. Coffee at the office. Don't feel like having that first coffee "movement" pop up half way through my commute.

We drove 2 hours outside of Atlanta to a fairly rural dealership because we couldn't even find what we wanted to test drive elsewhere. When in the office talking to one of the sales guys, I went to throw away a bottle of water and there was a recycling can (the size of a trash pickup can) and it was filled to the top with every energy drink can you could think of. Hundreds of cans. I made my wife go look, which shows how easily amused I am I guess.

I can't think of a profession/demo more likely to pound energy drinks by the dozen than the rural southern car salesman. So after a moment my internal reaction was "well yeah, of course."

Energy drinks definitely a symbol of low status.

poor and trashy people seem to in general prefer sweet stuff. Those energy drinks are like drinking straight sugar syrup
