They shouldn't. It's the most basic concept of COI.
But these people don't have the same mentality as the rest of the business world. They think that as long as the deceased was cool with it, then it's ok.

I dont understand the part of the article that says Amar didnt know that the grandmother had the assets in that amount until after she died.
didnt she drive her to SU to write her will where she put her self in there to the sum of 500.oo a month. i find it hard to believe she didnt know about the assets.

Exactly. They're not even good at covering their own asses. You don't guarantee yourself $126k if you don't know it's there.
