CNN: The Lottery is Racist

The lottery is for stupid people. If one race happens to be the majority, then so be it.

I missed the part where low-income people have a gun put to their head and commanded to buy lottery tickets.

They are. I always felt a little bad my undergrad and graduate degree were funded with lottery money from the Hope scholarship.

But that's not racism. Poor black people make bad decisions. Who am I to say no to that? They'd do the same thing when they cash welfare checks I pay for.

Breaking News: People in lower income groups became lower income because they are most likely engaging in dumb behavior, such as spending necessary budget money on the lottery.

We need anti lottery community investment in order to secure equity and ensure prosperity for all.

Its a voluntary "tax." CNN probably has issues with that part of it.

This sentence alone fascinates me; the differing capitalization, the fact that they essentially lump in all non whites and maybe northern Asians as brown, and the fact that there probably aren't a lot of Arabs, Indians, etc. in that brown group.
