CNN: The Lottery is Racist

Systemically Racist

Lotteries are regressive, meaning lower-income groups spend more of their budgets on lottery games than higher-income groups.

They also funnel money in public schools in poor neighborhoods.

The lottery is for stupid people. If one race happens to be the majority, then so be it.
Posted on 11/11/22 at 1:31 pm to LSUGUMBO
What about the white trash that take 5 minutes buying scratch off tickets?
Posted on 11/11/22 at 1:31 pm to LSUGUMBO
I missed the part where low-income people have a gun put to their head and commanded to buy lottery tickets.

Scruffy bets more white people lost than any other races.

They are. I always felt a little bad my undergrad and graduate degree were funded with lottery money from the Hope scholarship.
But that's not racism. Poor black people make bad decisions. Who am I to say no to that? They'd do the same thing when they cash welfare checks I pay for.

They’d blow it on something else
I’d be 100% fine if you had to have some sort of proof of income to hit the lottery or gamble. But coincidentally, that would also be “racist”

Breaking News: People in lower income groups became lower income because they are most likely engaging in dumb behavior, such as spending necessary budget money on the lottery.

There are more white people on government assistance i.e. poor.

Poor people*
It isn’t race specific.

We need anti lottery community investment in order to secure equity and ensure prosperity for all.

By their own logic, it's a tit for tat. The poor get free lunch and the lottery/state gov gets the tip.

Its a voluntary "tax." CNN probably has issues with that part of it.
No one is forced to buy a lottery ticket

Frick these people. Take your scratch off and go home. Get out the line.

I think we need to make things “fair” and set aside winnings for minorities. Affirmative action for the lottery.
Posted on 11/11/22 at 1:49 pm to LSUGUMBO
Almost there, can only be a few more things that we can claim are racist before we get to the point of everything.

just mad some cracker won the big prize

These communities are disproportionately made up of Black and brown people.
This sentence alone fascinates me; the differing capitalization, the fact that they essentially lump in all non whites and maybe northern Asians as brown, and the fact that there probably aren't a lot of Arabs, Indians, etc. in that brown group.
