We should be even wealthier. That's everyone else's point.

I apologize for trying to add context to a pity party.

People aren't dumb, obviously we understand there are places and periods of time that had it worse than us. That being said, it is also frustrating to hear "you should be happy" when we are one of the first generations that have it worse than the previous.

Prepare to be bombarded with articles about how great our economy is leading up to the presidential election, but it’s going to be a tough sell.

The rest of the world sucks. I think we all know that. I have traveled myself and have seen how much better we have it in the United States compared to the rest of the world. Guess what? I couldn't give a shite less. I want more so my children and grandchildren will be in an even better place than I was.

Just think that Apple corporation by itself is worth about 1/2 of the total wealth of all Americans.

Every Republican on this board that drives an $80k truck, has a 4br/4ba, a camper or a boat, and goes to Disney and Destin regularly is whining about the state of the economy. It’s like I’m in a parody.

I remember the 80’s and 90’s when leather seats and a “den” in your 1800sqft house meant you were killing it.

Do the people that write this crap not live in the real world? The blue collar people haven’t completely recovered from the inflation the Democratic Party set upon on this country because of Covid. Anyone that still believes politicians didn’t use Covid to hurt this country should do the world a favor and go jump off a high bridge with shallow water.

Inflation was worldwide and America has handled it better than any other advanced economy. Broken supply chains and a sudden unleashing of pent up demand were the main causes of inflation. The Fed has done a good job using monetary policy to temper inflation and Biden’s administration has done a good job using fiscal policy to keep us from crashing despite those interest rate increases.

But you don’t have any idea about any of these things, so you’re easily tricked by those that benefit politically.

CNN shitty content. (my bold)

There’s 4% difference between $2.5 trillion & $2.6 trillion.
