Will Kansas follow suit, or keep to its fascistly Orwellian closed beach policy?

Please tell me where these beaches are so I don’t have to drive 10 hours to get to the coast this weekend

ETA: unless they’re referring to the beaches of the lakes, not sure I would call that a beach, however. The lakes in Arkansas are gorgeous, l will say.

Guess you’ve never been to the sandy beaches of Lake Ouachita?

There are a lot of lakes in Arkansas where this does qualify. Not as dumb as you think.

I mean yes, but it just sounds odd for them to say that. People up here just call it “going to the lake” for the weekend. Not going to the beach. You drive your party barge around, ski/tube, and anchor out Somewhere somewhat shallow to swim. The only beach we went to on ouachita was extremely rocky and hard to even walk across.

Some loose sandy like soil near a lake does not equal a beach.
Like trying to call a four story building a skyscraper.

In some places, they are called beaches when they are on lakes and such and the Gulf and Ocean are the shore.

Not really. I don’t go to the gulf or the California coast and say “hey guys, I’m going to the shore!” .... you say I’m going to the beach.

You're just used to shitty Louisiana lakes.

You’re absolutely right. Louisiana lakes, for the most part, are trash. Arkansas lakes are pretty nice. Arkansas wins on this one.
