he didn't listen to the first teacher to begin with who told him to put it up and not show it off..
if you don't listen to your teachers on what is allowed at school, then you should get in trouble.. he should have listened period.
the school did nothing wrong here.

I was not for handcuffing him, but they treated him with caution to the situation.
Just because he says it is something does not exactly mean it is exactly that. They still needed to check into the situation or else they receive even worse backlash.
I'm not so sure I trust this kid at his word. He already admitted he went against his teachers instructions.. then he said the police didn't feel he was being forthcoming.. yet he claims he was.. doesn't mean he actually was..
The kid sounds kind of like a smart arse at the end when he said nothing they can do can get him to go back, and he said they can apologize but I am not going back.. Something more seems up here. The kid did not listen to any of the authority figures in question here.

He kept calling it his "invention". All he did was take the cover off of a digital clock and put it in a brief case. And took it to school on 9/11. And after being warned to put it away and not show anyone else, he plugged it into the wall and made the alarm go off in class. You don't think he was baiting the teachers?
sounds like someone who deserves to be personally invited to the White House by the POTUS.

And I finally have my answer to "why did the clock start beeping in the middle of class." The day is mine, Trebek!
And this somehow proves he meant it to be a hoax bomb? It does not even prove he lied.

Sending a kid to the principal's office for disturbing class is one thing, but an arrest is quite another. I think that's where some of you miss the boat...

They would not have been invited to the White House.

I loved Maher's response to this whole situation (LINK He is probably the biggest anti-Muslim guy out there right now..

You just keep doubling down.

If this had been a bomb and the story came out that he showed it to 6 other teachers who did nothing every motherfricker on this board would be raging about how stupid the teachers were for not reporting it.

It was an alarm clock.
Ok
And when asked, tsarnev said 'it's a pressure cooker'.

nobody is faulting anyone for reporting it and checking it out

They f'ing handcuffed a 8 ur old for making an alarm clock
Have you noticed that the kid has suddenly stopped being a liberal darling? Even your own ideologues have run for the hills. But, I understand how invested you people are, especially after your condescending rants about racism and stereotyping, blah blah blah.

Except school never thought it was a bomb, nor did police
Posted on 9/24/15 at 8:21 am to LSUTANGERINE
No, they correctly thought the kid did this on purpose to cause a stir, kind of like yelling "fire" in a crowded theater when there is no fire.

Cool poptart, kid. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to play with their food. It's what makes America great.
