White kid probably would not go to Qatar either

Right. But are there any bars that aren´t in hotels now?

The Aspire program is also impressive.

Dude, I work in IT and there are no Arabs around me, but there are a shite ton of Indians, with more arriving every day. We're getting plenty of the "smart ones."
Are they doing lots of smart things that are too complicated to understand? I bet its tough keeping up.

He didnt built a fricking clock. He didnt built shite. He took apart an old clock to make it look like a bomb and then was evasive about it. It was a set up from day one.
I used to take shite apart all the damn time. Fishing reels and electronics in particular. taking shite apart is easy. Putting it back together so that it works is hard.
He may not even be a good bomb maker.

A&M does have a campus there

If it is that well educated then how come sharia law is still implemented?
I'm sure uae, Lebanon, and a couple of others aren't bad. But you wouldn't see me going to anywhere else over there on my own free will.

I'm selling all my stock in Clock In A Box, Inc. The US will never recover from this loss of amazing technological talent.

How many years will this set us back in the race to develop better homemade clocks??

If the next bomb discovered has a radio clock as its timer, we will at least know where to pint the drones.

He's going to further his education of connecting the clock to the C4. We will see him again... flying about in many small pieces.

Historically we have thrived by drawing talent from the world. We are discouraging that part.
Plenty of top talent coming from India and asia and those guys are much more likely to successfully integrate. There is also tons of middle eastern folks in tech.

The kid is brilliant. I heard he's working on some new inventions he calls the "wheel" and "sliced bread". Can't wait to see how those turn out.

Thanks. I visited that part of the world when I was only a few years older than this kid. I saw enough to know the whole place and everyone in it are as fricked up as a soup sandwich.

I'm assuming you were in the military and that is what you are hinting at. If that is the case, we have seen two totally different ends of the spectrum as I go there quite a lot for business and see the more developed places and places that cater to Americans for the most part.
I know that there are a lot of fricked up things about that area of the world. But, I'm not so intellectually dishonest that I'll paint the whole area/population the same way. You lose any credibility in the discussion when you say things like you just said.

I think this whole situation was overblown and possibly a stunt by the family...who knows. But making Qatar out to be a place that would willing harbor terrorist skills is so naive and ignorant. You idiots know that Texas A&M has a campus there right? And it's the US military outpost of the Middle East.
It's sad the lack of information that the US uses that is at its disposal. So ignorant and loving the ignorance.
Not backing the family but Jesus, give up the narrative that Qatar is willingly harboring a terrorist. They give away scholarships all the time.

This board needs to first give up the narrative that this child and his family are terrorists.
