No no no NO! Only one thing can come from indoctrinating our kids in this "science" mumbo jumbo, and that's a bunch of godless atheist heathens running around doing more experiments and shite. First they took my slaves, then my right to discriminate against homosexuals but they will NOT convince my kids that the earth isn't 6000 years old

Yeah, it was for some small pockets in the state who wish it was still 1850. A lot of home school kids are associated with churches.

Ah yes, the quintessential creationist "gotcha" statement. It is easily squashed by a basic understanding of how selective pressures lead to population divergence.
Molecular techniques, like 18s rRNA sequencing, can largely identify which genes we have in common with other organisms. You can actually quantify how far apart various primates have become from one another.

Personally, if evolution is ever proven absolutely true, it will not alter my faith in God as our creator.
I never expected my children to not be taught the theory of evolution in school. However, I did pay for them to attend a private school.
And before flaming my first statement, there is ample scientific dissent from Darwinism,from individuals who have devoted their life to scientific study.
Honestly, I believe total belief in God as the Creator and Darwinism both require the individual to take a leap of faith. So in my humble opinion, those that accept Darwinism as absolute truth but claim Bible believing Christians are ignorant appear to be naively hypocritical.

Darwin postulated a theory, and after Neary two centuries of increasingly advanced study across disciplines, the broad theory has stood the test. Of course, because science is self-correcting, it's been refined and advanced and this will continue.
