Call the police. A police report will go a long way with the doctor. Of course that could still be bullshite anyone can call the police and lie. In the end it's just gonna come down to whether or not your Mom is legit. He'll know

File a police report ASAP. Will take several days for it to be filled and nothing will happen to the cleaning lady. Most doctors won’t rewrite the script without police report and the pharmacy won’t fill it without one either.

I'm not saying you're a pill seeker. I'm not a pro at identifying that kind of stuff. But I can imagine a pill seeker posting a story that essentially reads:
Some poor hourly worker stole my dear sweet mother's pain meds. How can I convince the doctor to give her more?
