This is the correct answer if you intend on trying to get her more pills

Gratz on getting away with it OP.
He should at least offer to pay for the new prescription with a little of the money he made selling the pills.

Set up a hidden camera in the bathroom facing the medicine cabinet. Just be sure you don't accidentally catch your mom squirting out some poos.

Sounds like the mom is hooked on opiates and will soon enough be prostituting in the streets and banging heroin.

Nice job with the cover story.
You stole the pills and are posting this backstory to try and cover your tracks.
My thoughts exactly

Real talk for any of you baws out there with family members on home hospice: some of those nurses are absolutely evil. They’ll steal all of the narcotics from some poor soul with metastatic cancer, giving them fricking tylenol or vitamins instead. Seen it too many times
ETA: most hospice home health nurses have hearts of gold and regularly sacrifice their own time/resources/etc to help their patients.

It’s common for people to steal from medicine cabinets, I had it happen to me years ago. So I like to keep an Rx vial in my cabinet with metronidazole in it in hopes someone decides to steal from me again. I hope and pray they wash it down with stiff drink.

Call the police and bring the police report to the doctor.
They might give her more, even if 1 at a time and they watch her take them. She's 84.

Is that Flagyl?
Man, I had to take that for an intestinal thing and the doctor said if I drink on it I'll get so violently ill that I'll have to go to the ER and be admitted.
I was scared to even handle bottles that had booze in them while I was on it for fear it would get on my skin

Report it to the police and get a copy of the report. Most dr’s offices will give you a refill if you bring the police report.
I know it’s a fat pain in the arse. Very sorry.

Mother had to put a lock on her liquor cabinet because maid like to take a nip or two while cleaning the kitchen. I was 13 at the time and told the maid you best not touch the crème de menthe.

People can identify pills with something called Google now. How about just hide the good shite you don't want people stealing

Happened to me. Problem was by the time I discovered what happened, they were long gone. At that point it would have been my word against theirs - no case. If I have discovered the deed while they were on premises, I would have summoned the police and nailed their fat asses.
