Well this wouldn't be the first time. In 1972, when I was 12 we were scared as hell, schools were shut down and everyone were preparing for more violence. Some history:

My family warned us of everything that is happening now with "Radical Black Muslims" as far back as the 60's. They knew...........it does seem like Chicago has a fixation on BR when it comes to this crap.

My mom told me about how the BP's said they were coming to town back in the 60s/70s and apparently they announced that if you didn't have a black sash hung on the front of your house, they said they would burn it down.

True story. The reporter that was shot was the father of a kid we went to school with. As a kid, the terms "Black Panther" or "Black Muslim" became etched in our brain as something evil. 1972 was also the same year the Black Muslims kidnapped and murdered Israel Olympiads.

about a month ago she posted a story about a police dog being killed and some financial settlement occurring and she was like "oh i love dogs but it's sad that black men aren't even on the level of dogs in this country". so i posted like 5-6 articles about the civil settlements with all of the major incidents of black men being killed by (and Trayvon)
