Can you explain to me her business and how she tries to make money off of it? I'm lost and know minimal about LLC's...just know people I come across who establish them are basically trying to con.

As I understand it, it's some kind of ambiguous "community organization" (as all those businesses are) that comes off as a charity organization but is actually an LLC. The marketing of the organization takes creative liberties in it's portrayal.
