What else are you going to do sitting in traffic behind the weekly overturned 18 wheeler?

I have always thought Dallas in the south loop of I-20 was interesting. When they chose a "south' loop, they put that sucker out in the boonies.

If your only experience with Philadelphia was what you saw on I-95, you’d think it’s worse than Shreveport

I remember Charleston WV looking like crap too

NOLA from 610 to 510

I remember a time when NOLA wasn’t terrible looking from the interstate. Back when City Park had 4 golf courses and they were all kept up, and the east around Read and Bullard still had businesses in all the retail spaces. The turd in the punchbowl was the massive “Adult Movies” sign over the interstate on the other side of the highrise.

First time I remember feeling like it looked bad was months after Katrina. Little cleanup had been done, businesses hadn’t come back, and there were burned out houses scattered in the neighborhoods along the interstate.

Alexandria and Shreveport, but then again not much better once you exit.

Atlanta (especially at night) and Norfolk are probably my favorite to look at from the interstate.

All these years I thought Beaumont was west of lake Charles. Learn something new every day.

I would actually say downtown Jacksonville has one of the nicer views from the interstate because you have a great view of the water and skyscrapers while elevated crossing the St Johns river on I95.

Lafayette has to be the weirdest 100k population city in the country. You don’t see a single tall building downtown from I-10.

That has always freaked me out. You see as much evidence of a city driving thru Gonzales and Denham Springs.

Coming into Shreveport coming from Bossier it actually resembles a small "skyline" which is def better than BR. But I do like that you can see the capital from basically any direction (190/i100/i10). New Orleans doesn't looks that bad coming in from the interstate, at least i10. Why does i49 not continue south of Laffy to New Orleans?

Just wait until they make I-14 and you can ride through Jonesville and Ferriday...

There's a decent view when crossing the river into St Louis, but I remember a lot of the other parts of the interstate looking crappy.

I think I usually have a minimum of three edits for stupid mistakes when I past.

Pun intended.

Lafayette hands down.
From I-10, it looks like no-man's land. The exits haven't been updated since 1964.

Then, there's I-49..er... the Thruway, which cuts through the worst, most blighted part of Acadiana.

Took a salesman to lunch one day in River Ranch. He was stunned, the thought Lafayette was just one big oilfield-industrial shithole.

Ciudad Juarez as you drive on the I-10 through El Paso. Shacks and more shacks.
