Just exits off of I-49 to the uneducated, but Lecompte has those pies at Lea's Lunch Room. What else does each have?

Monroe - West Monroe
I bet at least a third of West Monroe's residents used to live in Monroe. The only difference between them is one is the destination for white flight, and the other is the feeder town for it.

Both redneck towns...

You could always buy booze in Bogalusa, but not in Poplarville - on weekends the parking lots at Bogalusa liquor stores crowded with Mississippi cars.

Vienna and Bratislava - capitals of their respective countries. The former is the very picture of Western/Central European aesthetics and reputation. The latter is in the country where Hostel was set. They're like 40 miles apart.

It stems from the elitist attitude Shreveport people have towards bossier. Which is absurd in and of itself.

I grew up in bossier, but kind of not really. All of my schooling was in Shreveport, and I didn't hang out with bossier people unless they were classmates.

Bossier is white as frick and the "ghettos" there are more white trashy than hood. It doesn't have a downtown and really doesn't have much culture to it. It's very suburb like really. Lots of subdivisions.

Shreveport is more urban obviously with downtown, but as you go south, the neighborhoods are streets, not master planned spaces. And obviously it's majority African American as well.

They're very different and only separated by a river.
