I recommend against circumcision unless medically necessary.

WHY would you willingly remove innervated tissue from a penis???

You don’t miss what you never had, but I’d hate to lose all that feeling.

I’ve never had a woman say anything negative about my uncircumcised penis, but then again:

a). There isn’t a gross amount of excessive foreskin, and

b). I’m legit in the 99th and 90th percentile for length and girth, respectively :)

To each their own, and f*ck the haters: most of them would gladly trade what they were endowed with for mine.

In all fairness, I believe OP is just gauging the general consensus.

Sure. Put the perfectly healthy dick of your newborn son to the knife.

For no medical benefit.

God surely got the penis wrong. Let's touch that up without anesthesia or reason.

Depends.

Most of these folks are defensive because they are cut. But I wasn't about to put my boy through unnecessary surgery just because....reasons.

I’m cut fwiw. I would bet in 15 years it won’t really matter, but it absolutely does today imo. The amount of women that prefer uncut is minuscule to those that prefer cut in my experience. I know of at least 2 guys that would have preferred to be cut and I have never personally met someone that said the opposite, but I’m sure there are. I also don’t need any extra sensitivity personally but I also have no idea what I’m missing so who knows?

I’d argue a women that is marriage material wouldn’t care either way, so that’s something to consider.

How have you obtained so much information from people about their penis wants and desires?

Circumsized. You don’t want your son nicknamed “Pig in the blanket” and scare away potential chicks

Yes. The most important thing we can teach our sons is what other people think matters most.

My son is about to marry a gem.

I knew a mohel who saved the scraps and made a wallet out of it. When he rubbed it the thing became a briefcase.

Probably just found someone who can rub two brain cells together. Someone who understands we are as God intended when we come out of the womb.

I'm cut, fwiw. Just couldn't do it for no good reason to my own.

Think beyond yourself.

When he comes of age no chick will want to do him with the turtleneck.

I guess you took your baby home with 2 ft of umbilical cord sticking out of the bassinet, huh?

This is a US experience, internationally us cut boys are in the minority and it’s heavily the opposite.

Cleft palates are not 100% of newborn boys--or girls.

100% of newborn boys do not have defective penises.

Are you suggesting that they do?

Edit, on second thought, at first I showed some restraint, but frick it: what a stupid fricking argument.

Over the years I've heard people say that circumcision doesn't hurt...All I know is, I was circumcised when I was born and I couldn't walk for damn near a year!!

It is something medically unnecessary that is pushed heavily for no clear reason. Parents blindly go along with it because
a) they are cut
b)they don't know any better.

It is extremely painful and causes trauma for newborns. I wouldn't subject my son to that.

ETA: lots of cut men seem to be triggered by this thread. FWIW, I wasn't given a choice in the matter. I would have preferred to have been given a choice and decide later.

For those us us who are cut, we can admit that our parents bought into the lies that they were told.
