It depends what you want to do. I have all 3. CPA is the one most people care about, and it would be first on my resume if I were trying to get a job anywhere outside of an internal audit function.
If your career goal is to be a CAE, get all 3. If you want to be a CFO the CPA is likely all you need. If you are a dork, get a CISA.

CPA. tons of credibility even outside of accounting.

CPA is definitely worth it and is viewed more as an advanced degree than just a certification. It’s the most valuable thing I have done for myself.
Well said. Having CPA behind my name has done wonders for me professionally. Really help me advance and I know has helped me get interviews over others.
I dont know anything about CISA or that part of the industry. I'm a Controller.

You don’t make shite with any of these you need look at pipe fitting.

CPA by a wide margin, without hesitation.
CIA is widely known and respected in auditing circles but it’s not nearly as recognized as a CPA. Besides, with a CPA, you can hang a shingle and people come knocking on your door. Finally, having CPA on your business card won’t get you killed in a Middle Eastern country.
If you are looking for a good tech certification, consider the CISSP, especially if you already have a CPA or CIA.

If I was only taking one... I would do the CPA because of it's wide respectibility and applicibility. However, if you want to go into an internal audit / IT audit role, the other two are great to have.
Get all three if you want to get all three.

sitting for my CFE soon, have 2 parts passed on my CIA
no desire to take CPA, but i'm not accounting focused.
prob will end up sitting for CGAP when all is said and done.
all in all, they're just commas behind your name.

Maybe, she is only 30 though.

Depends on what you want to do.
If accounting is what you want the CPA for sure.
If auditing or management, a CIA will be sufficient.
IT related you would need the CISA

I like how you're bragging about your wife's accomplishments instead of your own.
Rather telling.
And I still make more than her.
