SCANG has a base (McEntire) out near the Eastover/Hopkins area.

Though he is from another county, his Facebook page has one like. A tiny town of 800 people of which I am one. Nobody here seems to know him. Strange.

A close friend of mine's extended family has the last name Roof and is from the Columbia area. He said he has no clue if they're related - certainly never met a Dylann.

Is that a common name in the Midlands area?

This was one of the FB pages connected to the Eastover, SC page.

ETA: Was about to ask if AME churches were more common in SC but then I looked and there are apparently at least 7 in downtown Birmingham.

Conspiracy theory #2:

Race riots in ferguson and baltimore. White national guardsman kills 8 black ppl in South Carolina. This is the beginning of how Obama will declare marshall law and declare himself POTUS forever.

I know how smart you think you are SFP and I cannot really debate it. So if you are really interested (I doubt it) and not just trying to lure me into a debate where will talk in circles around each other, then feel free to look it up yourself.

No examples = talking out of your arse. You're just listening to the other sheep who think Fox News is the devil.

Sad, really.

O'Reiley's and Hannity's work speak for themselves.

I don't detect an ounce of racism from either of these New Yorkers - not an ounce. Hannity, in particular, has been an ardent supporter of Clarence Thomas and Condi Rice - especially the vicious, racist attacks from the left against the latter. He also has solid relationships with Juan Williams and other black commentators and contributers - why would they continue to come back on? In particular, although they disagree frequently, he and Stephen A. Smith have a regular dialogue that clearly wouldn't be continued if Smith considered Hannity a race-baiter or racist.

O'Reilly - he just calls it like he sees it - feel free to disagree, but I don't pick up on any racism or racial animus from him, either.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but these guys aren't examples of it.

There is no objective way you can say O'Reilly and Hannity blame black people for most of the problems of white people. It just doesn't happen.

I wasn't trying to say that, but they do attack blacks a lot, and have blamed minorities (blacks and Mexicans) for many problems going on in this country.

Absolutely.

Doesn't sound like a common name in this area. But, I bet Eastover and Red Bank are crawling with SLED and FBI right now.

Immigration issues and black crime issues are big problems. Without weighing into how big, I still think it's a tough comparison to "race pimps" who largely ignore the most pressing threats to people in the black community.

I do. They are very good at bringing blacks on who play up their narrative of blacks.

When they bring on blacks who oppose their view points, they are extremely disrespectful and contrite with them.

Just look up the O'Reily interview with Lupe Fiasco.

Now, how much of all of that is for show, I couldn't tell you, but my problem is that people listen to them and buy into their poison. The same as blacks who listen to people like Al and Jessie.

They have a platform, and the use it very irresponsibly in my opinion.

Safe to say this thread escalated quickly.

All I see are politics and race arguments.

What's the latest on the hunt for the shooter?
