Christmas guest has sh!t on our brand new sofa

Wife & I did a remodel last week to turn our dining room into a piano room/library. We added a new sofa as the only piece of sitting furniture.
So the sofa got delivered Thursday afternoon, and one of our Christmas guests has gotten sick to their stomach (not alcohol related) and sh!t on it.
Should I insist that they purchase a new one?
