You would have a much better argument if you son did this in the car or the woods or something. Not inside your house with you present
Next time you invite a bunch of 14-15 yr old kids to your house since you have known since they were 4-5: comment..you have no idea what you are talking about

I pay for private school to avoid trashy parents who think its cool that their son "smashes hot girls."
Name the school. Im pretty familiar with all the private schools in Memphis. I know which ones have this policy and which ones really enforce it.

I thought he didn't really have sex?
The 5 second video was not sex, but evidently he did...he told school and us he did

Sorry, this line threw me off:

Some other kid took a 5 sec clip of nothing, can't see but one person, unrecognisable, and they aren't having sex.
So what you're saying is that 14 and 15 yo's were having sex at this party you supervised, they just didn't record it?
No offense, but has it occurred to you that this expulsion might be more about distancing you from the student body than punishing your son?

You should have been present when they questioned your son

My advice is to bring an attorney to the school. They put the screws to your son. Put the screws to them
I went to a catholic high school and this was done by kids parents in some of these situations. Hell, 1 kids parents at my school did it twice.

Bingo. Other tuition paying parents don't want this crap around their kids. If I am the headmaster, I refund all tuition for the year to OP, facilitate the transfer and never have another thing to do with your family.

No. You don’t know.
As Bobby D once said, when you got a lot of forks and knives you gotta cut something.
Clearly you weren’t paying enough attention.
But, pm me your addy cause I want to party at your house.

I skimmed the thread. Mainly your posts.
I dont see anything wrong with having your sons friends over. I mean you said you never allow alcohol. At that age, my friends and I drank at everyones houses and did stupid shite. I would hate to see what would have happened if we all had smart phones and HD cameras on us.
That wonderful thing in our pockets now(phone) is sometimes a real piece of shite.
Cool that your kid likes the new place

I did not suggest that your boy should have lied. He should have told them he was not going to discuss it with them, their video was not of him having sex and that he was through talking about it.
None of that is a lie. He is under no obligation to provide Hugh Freeze with all of the details of his every waking moment.

While I completely support their existence, never, ever send your kids to private school.
Youre at the complete and total mercy of ownership. Would you willingly live in a dictatorship or an oligarchy? I guess since many of you live in HOAs that kind of answers my question.
Move to a school district with excellent public schools. Your kids will more or less get the same protections as a free, adult U.S. citizen out in public.

And you can't have a conversation with anyone that thinks you are completely wrong in the matter. You and/or your son signed an agreement that he would abstain from premarital sex. That is the code of conduct at many Christian schools and colleges.
He admitted to breaking this. The penalty for which is expulsion. There are other schools. But the way you are talking and acting in this thread, you obviously do not need to be part of a Christian school community.
The type of behavior you have exhibited in this thread is what is wrong with the Christian school culture in the Mid-South. "Christian" doesn't mean wealthy and white, and there is a decent chunk of parents who believe that it does. I would be embarrassed beyond measure if this would have happened to my kid, and you are blaming the school's policy.

The fact that you show no anger toward your 15 year old son, and all your anger is directed at the school is sad. I’m guessing you thought you were “above the law” in the school’s eyes due to your donations.
If you had a 14-15 year old daughter, and gave her permission to go to a small (ten people you said) party at an adults house (under their supervision), I bet you would be mad if said adult’s son banged your daughter.
