Was more shocked, he hasn't had a serious GF before... didn't think this was the one to get expelled..older one was a Hellyon...dated all the hottest chicks around
At least he's not gay. Time for a drink.

.this thread was meant to be about how ludicrous it is that a kid can get expelled for saying yeah "had sex"
But is it really? It's a private Christian school and you admitted that he signed a pledge.

I am unclear on where you are going with this. Are you mad at the school because your son broke their rules and ignored the contract he signed, then told the school about it?
Will you be mad at the cop that writes him a speeding ticket when he is doing 90 in a 70?
Will you be mad at the homeowner who blows him away because he broke into their house, looking for cash for drugs?
How is he going to reimburse you for the tuition he wasted this semester?

They random drug test the HS kids at my daughter's school. I don't particularly agree with it but we agreed to the rules. I can't send her to the public schools here.

My dad walked in on my first bj. We thought he was sleeping. He just kind of coughed, strolled through in his robe and never said another word about it
Were you blowing someone he knew?

Teenagers do drive and have fairly easy access to places with no adults.
OMG This. I went to High School in Northern Virginia in the early '80's...... Was a fairly popular "jock" and had a cool car..... My High School days were pretty much a mix of "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," and "Sixteen Candles."
Thankfully, Northern Virginia has pretty decent public schools, so the whole signing a Christian voucher pledge thing was never an issue, or I'd be in hell right now.

I'll end the thread here, yes I was/am pissed..yes we signed pledge..many in thread called me out on those things.. however, all of you that have/had teenagers know shite happens..for you younger guys read the hand book in details if u decide to waste 100s of thousands of dollars...just move to a good public school system

If 2 teenagers want to have sex their parents aren't stopping them.

Because the “Everyone had bad grades too” argument works so well to decent parents.

Or teach your kid not to pull a Brendan Dassey the first time a high school vice principal leans on him.

I can personally attest to this.
I did have angst as a parent of two boys, however, I will admit. Thankfully, they made it through those teen years (I think and hope I helped) and are now 29 and 27 years old, and are both successful young men who now pay for the meals when they come visit and we go out!

What kind of school? I grew up in strict Catholic schools and never had to sing a pledge like that.

Is there an xyz day school around where you live? Sounds like you need a private school, not a Christian school for your kid.

What would have happened if he had simply told whoever was interrogating him that he did not want to talk about it with them, but would discuss it with God extensively that evening?
The idea that anybody is honor bound to tell on themselves is un-American.

Responding to two post
If he lied, nothing would have happened, he'd still be there
On schools, we enrolled our kids in this school when we lived in a neighborhood that the schools were horrible..moved when I got older and could afford better, much better district

People send their kids to private schools to avoid the trashy parents that (under their supervision at a party they are hosting) allow their son to bang someone’s underage daughter.
You would have a much better argument if you son did this in the car or the woods or something. Not inside your house with you present.
