seems like almost daily there are threads about either dui checkpoints, or how they just had 2 beers and what lawyers to fight it.

No it's really simple, if you are going to drink or get loaded then don't drive. So so simple it's mind boggling.

Olivia matte killed a man on the causeway prior to her third DWI arrest and currently enjoys life at home with her parents while her connected lawyer delays trial on her 2nd DWI. Charges in JP for vehicular homicide have been brought but trial is pending the result of the STP charges

it has now been over a year since she murdered an innocent man while out on bond for DWI. She spent the holidays doing whatever the frick she wanted to do

I think people who drive drunk suck.

I also think DUI Checkpoints and laws around DUI’s are an overreach of the Constitution.

her parents have means and access to powerful relationships...it isn't any more complicated than that. She has maybe the best defense lawyer in the state, certainly the most connected

Cue the idiots saying it's not the drunk drivers fault. They of course can handle driving drunk without problems.

Thank you for both telling the truth and using the correct form of cue.

Probably the most realistic thing that could be done is to require a breathalyzer in every vehicle. That’d help out a lot.

Get shite faced and drive around risking everyone's lives?

You get a fine. Maybe spend an hour in a holding cell.

Smoke some weed in your bedroom before you go to sleep at night?

Go to jail. Lose you job. Lose your kids. Life ruined.

If you are caught driving under the influence you should have an automatic 1 year sentence, and a $100,000 fine. It's time to end this reckless behavior.
