Are they working with Archer Aviation? I think Archer is developing the taxi/vehicle for this endeavor.

Every real video of any proposed "flying car" that I have ever seen shows the thing barely hovering over the ground. I have never seen one video with a person inside of one of these things that are flying over 50 feet, or above buildings. Pipe dream.

Wouldn't surprise me, but I have NDA's in place and potential business with them based on their data so couldn't discuss if I wanted to.

So the two criteria for flying are: 1) above 50' (to clear all of the 50' automobiles presumably); and, 2) over buildings (presumably buildings under 50' don't count).

Gotcha. It's not flying until you say it is. BTW, the OP didn't post anything about flying cars.

I wonder how many times some loser said that to these guys....

Meanwhile, China is developing new tech while America sits doing absolutely nothing.

While I agree with your first sentence, the second sentence is out of touch. Look up Archer, Joby, Wisk Aero, LIFT, and there are others as well. There's also one out of Germany IIRC.

Yes, Germany had the Volocopter. The company ran out of money after some demo flights, but the thing looked promising before.

Just no idea what the market demand for this is...

I read a while back that LA was planning to have these in time for the 2028 Olympics.

Joby and archer are the two us companies well on their way.. they both have involvement with major airlines.. uber.. military.. and Palintar..

Taxis, weapons, surveillance, troop transport, vision is to have a hub where uber will take you to from home etc then get on air taxi to get into airports easier.. not so much the jetsons yet.. ai working to make them pilotless

China has a few companies.. Germany etc.. I prefer staying with American companies on this type of investment because Chinese govt could just wake up and say strategically they want the company.

Joby

My father and I started opening positions with Joby back in 2022. Its been an interesting up and down.

Learned about FAA approvals and the different hoops these companies have to jump through to make this possible.

Crazy to know this will be a thing.

I believe they will start by transferring Surgeons in big cities to negate traffic.

I believe there's another one, backed by one of the airlines, though its more of an air trolley car than an air taxi.

Good. Let them be the guinea pigs. It's better than allowing Billy Bob and DeShaun to fly around in their own personal aircraft.
