Nope, we have been working on this since the early 2000’s. Last I saw we had some that were mounted on humvees and could do riot control....just very expensive to produce and require a helluva energy source.

Read the comments under the article which touch on some specs that seem pretty impossible to meet, they may have something close to it but doubt it will do everything is claimed in the write up.

True. I remember being astonished on what the US military already has. 15yrs ago I got to see a weapon the shots a beam or something similar that cause the sensation that you are on fire. If hit you wouldn’t actually be on fire but just feel like you’re burning alive. Another made you so sick to your stomach you fell to the ground. And another that gave you the same pain as getting kicked in the balls. Diabolical

You had to do the less than lethal classes as Base Force Protection Officer too?
